Rams 33, Steelers 21
Please explain to me why Bill Cowher insists on handing the ball off to Jerome Bettis. The wheels fell of The Bus two years ago, and the Steelers simply don't have the offensive line to help any running back be effective. The personal dictates that you should use a run-and-shoot-style spread offense. Instead, Cowher stuck with the run for the past two weeks.

The result? Bettis got 42 yards on 12 carries. Tommy Maddox threw three interceptions. The Steelers lost two weeks in a row and have fallen to 2-5 on the season.

The secondary wasn't any better in stopping the Rams' passing game, though. Marc Bulger threw for 375 yards and a touchdown, and N.C. State alum Torry Holt caught seven passes for a whopping 174 yards. Free agent rookie RB Arlen Harris also did well in relief of injured backs Marshall Faulk and Lamar Gordon.

At this rate, Cowher will be lucky to be coaching in Pittsburgh next season. The Steelers need to start rebuilding.
